(1) High usage efficiency
Compared to gasoline, diesel, electricity and other energy sources, liquefied natural gas has a higher utilization rate. Its thermal energy utilization rate exceeds 50%, and it burns more fully. As a car fuel, it also causes less damage to the car than other fuels, providing comprehensive protection for the engine. Under relatively low temperature operating conditions, the engine's inflation efficiency will be comprehensively improved; The utilization rate of cold energy has been improved.
(2) High security
The production and storage of liquefied natural gas are carried out at atmospheric pressure and -162 degrees Celsius. Its production, storage, and loading and unloading are equipped with specialized equipment and operating procedures, with low temperature, low pressure, and good safety performance. At the same time, it has a high storage density, is lighter, has a fast charging acceleration, low storage pressure, and is safer in liquid form.
(3) Cost savings
The cost is relatively low for both liquefied natural gas vehicle users and natural gas producers and sellers. For liquefied natural gas vehicles, including heavy-duty trucks, high combustion efficiency and low fuel consumption can save transportation costs. For refueling stations selling liquefied natural gas, investment does not require significant cost pressure, and the maintenance process is relatively simple. Under the condition of equal calorific value, the cost of using natural gas is reduced by about 30% compared to using diesel, which also leads to a significant reduction in the cost of driving a car.

Transportation Requirements
For the transportation of LNG, the choice of transportation method depends on the distance or regional conditions. Currently, there are three common transportation methods for LNG: road transportation, waterway transportation, and pipeline transportation.
(1) Highway transportation: Highway transportation has become the most widely used LNG transportation method in China due to its flexibility, with LNG tankers as the main tool. Highway transportation has low investment and short return period. Companies such as Xinjiang Guanghui, Hebei Xinao, and Zhongyuan Green Energy have established natural gas markets through highway transportation, serving as an effective supplement to the West East Gas Pipeline, transporting LNG from Xinjiang to Guangdong, Fujian, and other regions.
(2) Waterway transportation: Waterway transportation is mainly used for international trade, transporting liquefied natural gas to its destination through LNG transport ships and entering the pipeline network. Especially in the past half century, with the continuous improvement of shipbuilding technology, the capacity of LNG transport ships has been continuously expanding, and transportation costs have been reduced. The characteristics of waterway transportation are large transportation capacity, safety and reliability.
(3) Pipeline transportation: When there is a fixed demand beyond a certain distance, pipeline transportation is a relatively stable transportation method, such as the West East Gas Pipeline 2. The advantages of pipeline transportation are large transportation volume, no environmental impact, high safety, but there are also disadvantages such as large investment, long cycle, and high depreciation cost.
Liquefied natural gas transportation vehicles can be divided into three categories according to their different uses: liquefied natural gas tank containers, liquefied natural gas tank trucks (including trailers and semi-trailers), and liquefied natural gas vehicle mounted gas storage cylinders. Liquefied natural gas tank containers mainly include three specifications (6m, 12m, and 13m), with high vacuum multi-layer insulation as the main insulation method, and working pressure less than 1.6MPa. They are used for the transportation of liquefied natural gas on ships, railways, and highways, and can also be used as small fixed storage tanks. Liquefied natural gas tanker, with a storage tank capacity of about 30m3, is mainly insulated with vacuum fiber insulation and high vacuum multi-layer insulation. Its working pressure is less than 1.6MPa and it is mainly used for road transportation of liquefied natural gas. The liquefied natural gas (LNG) vehicle mounted storage cylinder has a volume of less than 0.6m3 and is mainly insulated with high vacuum multi-layer insulation. The working pressure is less than 1.6MPa and it is mainly used as a fuel tank for LNG vehicles.
